A racing pedigree for JVM Castings and Worcester Racecourse
23rd June 2016
Our people are at the heart of what we do, they are the most important part of our operation. As part of our commitment to them we actively pursue community engagements within the Tamworth and Worcester regions in which they work and live.
As part of our work within the community we have recently sponsored the Novice Chase at Worcester Racecourse. Worcester Racecourse is one of the oldest racecourses in Britain and holds a range of key races including the Worcester Stakes and the Gold Cup.
Robert Murcott, Managing Director at JVM Castings (Worcester) Limited, said “Worcester Racecourse is local to our plant, which was one of the features that led to us sponsoring the Novice Chase.
Our sponsorship of the race was a fantastic opportunity for us at JVM to give something back to the community. We were also able to share the day with a number of our team, as we held a raffle amongst our employees with the winners spending a fantastic sunny day at the racecourse.
We are proud to have sponsored a racecourse that has the same pedigree of history that we do. It was an honour to be a part of the day and to present the winner’s trophy to the successful horse and rider of the Novice Chase.”
The JVM Castings Novice Chase was also an opportunity for us to return to previous work we have completed for the leisure market. During our 90-year history we have cast racing plates for stables across the UK. Our sponsorship of Worcester Races Novice Chase has not only benefitted our team and the local community in Worcester but also allowed us to share the day with clients.
