JVM Castings donate £10,000 to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility we are working with local charities across the Midlands to help them continue the essential work that they do.
Fisher House provides a ’home away from home‘ for military patients at the QEHB and their families and is an essential support to them on their journey towards rehabilitation and we are proud to support their continued work.
JVM’s New Project Introduction Manager Will Murcott said: “We have always looked for opportunities to support the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham because they do such a fantastic job,”
“Our support for Fisher House came about as it’s something we all feel incredibly passionate about; the armed forces do such an important job for our country and it’s crucial that they and their families are supported in their rehabilitation,”
“Many of us know someone who’s been affected by cancer and has been treated there; my uncle, Karl, who is JVM’s Tooling Director, was also keen to support the hospital for personal reasons, as his mum was treated there before she died.
We are committed to working with charities and have previously raised thousands of pounds for St Giles Hospice in Whittington to help their staff deliver quality care to local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses.
Over the coming year we are aiming to raise an additional £5,000 for Fisher House and the upkeep of The Worcester Room as well as continuing to support charities such as the St Giles Hospice. Our newly created company charity team will be getting involved in fundraising activities such as wing walks, sky dives and Tough Mudder marathons.
